Consultation begins on new Strategy for Northwest

The Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA) and 4NW, the Regional Leaders Board, have this week begun a region-wide consultation programme to inform the development of the Northwest’s new integrated Regional Strategy (RS2010).

The draft version of Part 1 of the RS2010, open for an 8 week consultation period running from 4th January to 26th February, provides an overarching vision and proposes high-level strategic priorities where working together the region can maximise opportunities and address challenges. 
 
A full copy of Part 1 can be viewed on the RS2010 website – www.nwregionalstrategy.com .  A summary version will shortly be available on the website and hard copies can also be made available from the NWDA’s Marketing Team.
 
Partners from across the region are encouraged to get involved and respond to the document using a dedicated consultation website - http://consult.nwregionalstrategy.com/portal .
 
A series of consultation events will be held during January and February. Lancashire Economic Partnership in partnership with NWDA and 4NW will be hosting a consultation event for Lancashire on the 9th February, 12:30pm – 4:00pm, at the Preston Guild Hall.
