Economic Regeneration
The Economic Regeneration Team is responsible for leading on the development of economic programmes of activity that will specifically deliver the vision of the Lancashire Economic Strategy and Regional Economic Strategy. This approach ensures the economic well-being of the sub-region as a whole, whilst specifically supporting local activities which will have a positive impact on the sub-regional economy.
The team is also responsible for monitoring and evaluating economic activity to ensure that the strategic objectives identified in the Lancashire Economic Strategy and Regional Economic Strategy are achieved. This helps ensure that future programmes of economic activity are developed based on a sound and robust evidence base.
The Economic Regeneration Team manages and co-ordinates a range of programmes, delivered by our partners across the sub-region:
- Climate Change
- Northwest Operational Programme 2007-13 (NWOP 2007-13)
- Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE)
