The Economic Strategy for Lancashire

LEP has been charged with developing an economic strategy for Lancashire – the Lancashire Economic Strategy. This takes account of the:

  • Regional Economic Strategy for the North West and its implications for Lancashire
  • Central Lancashire Development Programme – our contribution to the Northern Way Initiative with the development of the Central Lancashire City Region
  • Work carried out by LEP’s Strategic Economic Regeneration Group to develop an economic strategy for East Lancashire and one for West Lancashire
  • Existing activity undertaken by Lancashire local authorities, business support organisations, further and higher education institutions and the private, voluntary and community sectors across Lancashire.

The Lancashire Economic strategy provides LEP, its Partners and supporters with a context and framework within which the future development and strengthening of all aspects of the economy of Lancashire will sit.
